(R) or (D)? Should Not Be A Question

August 29, 2009

Personally I feel our politicians have more loyalty to their respective parties than they do to their constituents. That is wrong. They work for us, we pay their salaries.  Politicians are more and more for the machine that is Washington D.C. than the country.

This quote from The 5,000 Year Leap sums it up pretty well.

Quote:
Measuring people and issues in terms of political parties has turned out to be philosophically fallacious if not totally misleading. This is because the platforms or positions of political parties are often superficial and structured on shifting sand. The platform of political party of one generation can hardly be recognized by the next.

If you have not read this book, I highly recommend it.
